1000xRESIST
1000xRESIST (pronounced: "One Thousand Times Resist") is a scifi thriller narrative game by sunset visitor 斜陽過客, and published by Fellow Traveller.
In 2047, we learn we are not alone in the universe – a mysterious alien race of giant entities arrives. We call them the Occupants. They are not hostile, but it doesn’t matter. Their arrival is a death sentence. Humanity is wiped out in a matter of months, succumbing to a disease the Occupants have brought to our planet. There is one survivor, a teenage girl called Iris. Somehow she is immune.
1000 years later. Iris is not only immune but immortal. She has birthed a new society consisting exclusively of her own clones. She calls them her Sisters. They call Iris the ALLMOTHER. Unlike the ALLMOTHER, the Sisters are not immune. They must wear masks 24/7 to avoid breathing the diseased air even in The Orchard - an underground bunker where they live in constant fear of an Occupant attack.
Within the Orchard, every Sister has an assigned function. The six Shapen Sisters have special roles to play: Fixer (Engineering), Healer (Medical), Bang Bang Fire (Defense), Knower (Librarian), Principal (Administration)… and you, the new Watcher. Your role is unique. You have the great privilege of reliving and interpreting the memories of the ALLMOTHER through a process known as Communion, made possible by Secretary, your floating companion droid.
As the game begins, you are excited to embark on your first Communion. But all is not well. Your closest friend, Fixer, comes to you with a dangerous revelation. You have been lied to. The ALLMOTHER is not what she claims to be. Fixer’s claims rock the foundations of your world, throwing everything you know and believe into doubt. It falls to you to discover the truth.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Some inspirations for 1000xRESIST range from:
- The real life COVID-19 pandemic: "Many in our team used to work in the performing arts, but because of the pandemic, we all had to stop of course. We put our artistic energy to making this game. The FEELING of being displaced in time, frozen or suspended, alienated from a past that seemed so recent, definitely made its way into 1000xRESIST." [10]
- Anime: Puella Magi Madoka Magica, From the New World, Sonny Boy, Pluto[11]
- Comics: Heavenly Delusion, Summer Time Rendering, Phoenix[11], On a Sunbeam, Attack on Titan, Promised Neverland (just the beginning) [10]
- Movies: Millennium Actress, In the Mood for Love [12]
- Games: NieR: Automata, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Grim Fandango, Kentucky Route Zero, SIGNALIS [10]
- TV Shows:
- Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (specifically the episodes: "Duet"[11], "The Visitor", "Far Beyond The Stars")
- other works by Ronald D. Moore, such as: "Star Trek: The Next Generation", "Battlestar Galactica", "For All Mankind"[13]
- Adventure Time (Lemonhope part 1 + 2), The Leftovers, Severance[11], LOST[10]
