The Iris Fanatics refers to a group of sisters in 7AA who believe that the ALLMOTHER can be reincarnated as a result of tiny errors in the cloning process. They hope that a perfect replica of Iris can be printed, who will possess immunity to the Occupant's disease and be able to lead the sisters.

In Chapter 6, a group of Iris Fanatics are see in Old Town with the statue of Iris previously held in the Orchard's garden. They are cordoned off by Red Guards and kept under watch. Due to the Provisional Government's population limits, these Fanatics hope to be incinerated in hopes of expediting the process of "rolling the dice" for the ALLMOTHER's revival. Although Red Guards try to dissuade anyone nearby from overhearing, a Miscellaneous Forty Eight visits them and receives a hair from Candace, one of the sisters there.
A member named Fiona visits the Bar on the day of the play, delivering a cardboard cake to the new bartender, which forms the "body" of an explosive surprise. She confides in the bartender that a new Iris has already been born.
Later, the Fiona and Other-Iris attend the meeting on the Pacific 50's bridge, and provide their approval for Watcher's plan.
As part of their diversion, an Iris Fanatic is seen self-immolating in front of the escalators to Old Town prior to the mass communion.
